Professional Training and Coaching for US Service Members

Welcome to our program for US Service Members and Veterans!

Transitioning from active-duty military to civilian life poses challenges, particularly in securing employment that matches one's interests, qualifications, and aspirations. Many skilled US Service Members and Veterans face obstacles such as temporary or low-skilled jobs due to a lack of specialized credentials, hindering their integration into society and the economy. Nonetheless, we aim to change this narrative.


We're committed to creating a supportive environment where US Service Members can learn valuable technical and digital skills in top IT hubs across the country, thanks to our partnerships with local organizations. Our program offers veterans the training and support they need to pursue successful careers in Salesforce. We provide personalized job coaching and help them connect with a network of like-minded individuals who can offer guidance and support. Once they've completed the program, we assist graduates in finding meaningful employment by connecting them with our network of Salesforce partners, clients, and local businesses.

The Salesforce Talent Alliance Career Cohorts, organized and coordinated by SalesHub, is a career development initiative designed specifically for US service members and veterans. Our goal is to fast-track their careers within the Salesforce ecosystem. Participants, who have successfully completed the Fundamentals "Get Started with Salesforce" program, receive comprehensive support. This includes community engagement, specialized webinars focused on career advancement, and mentorship from experienced Trailblazers. Through this program, individuals not only enhance their technical skills but also obtain their first Salesforce certification and secure entry-level positions within the Salesforce industry.

Our comprehensive training program aims to address the digital skills and talent gaps

Our program aims to provide the knowledge, community, and employment opportunities necessary for building a long-term and rewarding career in the Salesforce ecosystem. By the end of the program, you will have a thorough understanding of the Salesforce platform, including application development, system administration, data management, system architecture, and best practices. You will also have the opportunity to learn about different Salesforce careers and gain insight into how the platform is used through the active Salesforce community of partners and customers. With the support of mentors and experienced Salesforce professionals, you will receive tailored guidance, expand your network, and explore career options. 


The course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to earn the globally recognized Salesforce Administrator credential, along with best practices in the field. Upon completion of the course, you will be well-prepared to begin a career as a Salesforce Administrator, Consultant, or Developer. In addition to virtual training, you will have access to supplementary e-learning resources such as Trailhead, Focus on Force, and Udemy to reinforce your understanding of the material. 



Requirements

To get the most out of this program for yourself and for your peers, it is critical that you:

  • Attend all in-person training sessions
  • Study ~5 hours per week at home
  • Complete all assigned homework
  • Complete all required Trailhead modules
  • Have a laptop with internet access 
  • Create a free Salesforce developer environment


In order to receive a Certification Exam voucher, you will need to:

  • Attend at least 90% of the technical training sessions
  • Achieve at least 10 Badges on Trailhead
  • Complete an assigned Super badge or Project
  • Attend at least two Salesforce Saturdays or Salesforce Meetups

Program Administration

 SalesHub oversees the program administration, with dedicated managers responsible for curriculum development, participant recruitment, and overall program management. Regular monitoring and evaluation ensure effectiveness and necessary adjustments. 

Budget and Funding

Funding sources include government grants, corporate sponsorships, and philanthropic donations to cover program costs and participant support. 

Evaluation and Success Metrics

Key performance indicators include enrollment rates, completion rates, certification attainment, internship placements, and job placements. Participant feedback and long-term career advancement are also measured. 

Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)

For service members facing the challenge of transitioning to civilian life without a directly transferable Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), this program presents a compelling opportunity. Within just 6-12 months before separation, participants can seize the chance to upskill and unlock a world of opportunities. By acting swiftly, they can significantly enhance their prospects in the civilian job market, setting themselves up for success in lucrative and fulfilling careers.
